FAQs

Answers for employers, authorized verifiers, and employees.

Empera is an employment and income verification platform designed to help employers respond consistently to authorized verification requests while applying privacy-aware handling and audit-ready controls.

Verification responses are intended for authorized third parties (for example, lenders, property managers, background screeners, and other entities) that can demonstrate a permissible purpose and meet employer credentialing requirements.

Most verification requests are processed based on employer policy and the verifier's permissible purpose. Where an employer requires employee authorization, Empera supports consent-aware workflows to collect and record the appropriate approval before releasing information.

Responses can be configured by the employer and may include employment status, dates of employment, and income details where applicable. Employers control which data fields are available and under which conditions.

We design around minimization, least-privilege access, encryption in transit, logging, and policy-driven release of information. See the Security & Compliance and Employee Data Protection pages for a high-level overview.

Implementation timing varies based on your HRIS/payroll environment, verification policies, and integration approach. Most teams start with a brief discovery, configure policies and fields, and then validate end-to-end request flows.

Request a demo to review your stakeholders, preferred workflows, and any security review requirements. We will propose a straightforward implementation plan.
